     Goals and objectives of the festival: 

• Positioning of Almaty as a unique cultural and historical center of Kazakhstan
• Strengthening of international relations and cooperation through cultural and creative exchange
• Opened attend all competitive events
• Engaging citizens in active participation in the musical life of the city
• Presentation of the culture of different nations, expanding creative contacts
• Preservation of tradition and continuity of the choral and folk music culture
• The popularization of choral art, youth pop art as a collective form of creativity in worldwide space
• Increased professional skills of groups, educators and members of mastery
• Exchange of experience between teams, managers, executives and union in the festival movement
• Introduction society to folk music, song, rural and urban folklore
• Creating the conditions for the revival and preservation of traditions of cultural heritage
• Raising awareness of government, international and commercial organizations to the problems of  creative teams and performers
• Spiritual education of the younger generation
• Identification of talented performers, teachers and the union of all the participants in the creative  community
• Show Festival at the mass media. 

During the contest, sponsors and advertisers are provided opportunities advertising campaign in concert halls of Almaty. 

Festival invites: 

Children's and youth academic, folk, pop groups from Kazakhstan and abroad.

Nominations:
Group “A” – Children's choirs from 6 till 16 years old (S,(S), A,(A))

                    а). choir of elementary grades 6 - 11 years

                    b). сhoir of the senior classes 11 - 16 years

In the category "A" is allowed participation contestants younger or older than the specified age limits to 10%, but not older than 17 years.

Group “B” – youth choirs  till 25 years old
Group “C” – academic choirs (no age limit)

Group “D” – folk choirs (no age limit)
Group “E” – academic ensembles till 25 years old

Group “F” – pop ensembles (no age limit) 
Group “G” – pop choirs till 25 years old

Festival- Contest «Almaty Spring - 2019» includes:

- Competition under nominations and age categories
- Festival concert dedicated to the Victory Day (1 or 2 theme song)
- Roundtable with members of the jury
- Master classes
- Gala Concert (best concert performances)
- Excursion program

Requirements for participants of the festival-contest:

Group «A» - maximum 10 minutes (from 16 people)
а). choir of elementary grades

1. Composition by foreign / Russian classics
2. Composition by Kazakhstan composer or composition of composer of own country for foreign groups
3. Composition from cartoons, movies
Requirements – unison, 2-voice elements, 1 composition - a’capella.

b). high school choir

1. Composition by foreign / Russian classics

2. Composition by Kazakhstan composer or composition of composer of own country for foreign groups

3. Composition from cartoons, movies

Requirements – 2-4 voice elements with accompaniment – maximum 2 compositions

Group «В»–maximum 15 minutes (from 16 people)

1. Composition by foreign / Russian classics

2. Composition by Kazakhstan composer or composition of composer of own country for foreign groups

3. Composition by XX century composer

Requirements – 3-4 voice elements with accompaniment – 1 composition                                  

Group«С»– maximum 15 minutes (from 16 people)

1. Composition by foreign / Russian classics

2. Composition by Kazakhstan composer or composition of composer of own country for foreign groups

3. Composition by XX century composer

Requirements – 3-4 voice elements with accompaniment – 1 composition                                 

Group«D»- maximum 15 minutes (from 16 people)

Group«Е»    - maximum 15 minutes (2 - 12 people)

Group «F» -  maximum 15 minutes (2 - 12 people)

As part of the festival will be a concert dedicated to the Great Victory Day! One or two theme songs 

Collectives specify a program in the application form (with an indication of the author, title and duration of the sound). 

Terms and conditions: 

1. Accepting of applications is made via the website www.musicfest.kz in the section of Competition "Almaty spring", or by e-mail: musicfest.kz@gmail.com. You have to apply the application (fill an electronic form according to the instructions) till 10.04.2019.

2. Each group in response to a request will receive by organizing committee (form attached) official invitation and participant status.

3. All applications and lists of participants with passport data are received by the organizing committee via e-mail within a reasonable period for the receipt of applications.

4. Agreements for participation in the festival "Almaty spring-2019 for organizations are certified by director's signature , stamp and handed at the day of arrival together with the original application to the organizing committee.

5. Payments have to be made ​​in advance, in cash or non-cash payment to account of organizing committee of the festival "Almaty spring-2019".

6. Every chorus will be provided by coordinator.

7. Arts Council of the festival confirms or rejects the application for participation in the festival. Notification of approval will be sent to 13.04.19.

8. Score in 5 copies have to be send to the Organizing Committee after the approval of participation in the festival-contest till 26.04.2019.

Jury

     Competition is estimate by professional jury, consisting of representatives of Kazakhstan and abroad. Judges – honored artists of culture, famous artists, supervisors of Kazakh and international artistic groups, composers and producers.

     The judges will be approved and announced not later than 15 days before opening of the competition. Decisions of  judges (voting form is closed) shall be final and can’t be subject for discussion.

- Artistic expression                               - Aesthetics of costumes

Jury have opportunity (depending on results of the Competition)

 - To award the Grand Prix

 -  Not to award all places

Contest results will not be disclosed until official awards ceremony and the result is a form filled after the discussion of competitive performances at the final meeting of the judges.

Necessary documents:

- Application form filled

- A list of all the speakers and visitors, including passport data

- The order of responsibility for the lives and health of children

- Medical insurance (for foreign teams)

Registration fee

     After approval of participation in competition to 13.04.2019., each choir of groups «А», «В», «С», «D»   have to pay registration fee 60 000 kzt, participation fee - 30 000 kzt, members of the group «E», «F» - duets, trios - 9 000 kzt, from 4 to 8 participants – 15 000 kzt, from 9 persons – 25 000 kzt, group«G» - 35 000 kzt. In case of cancellation fee is not refundable. Administrative costs – 2 000 kzt per person. Groups taking part in 2 nominations have to pay extra 20 000 kzt.

Fee includes: organizational expenses of participants, preparation of programs for each team, the expenses of printing and digital design project materials, internet resources, promotional and premium products, payment for tickets to concert events of the festival "Almaty spring 2019." 

Concert tickets will be issued by the organizing committee according to applications and depending on payments of participation fees.

Additional payments:

Lunch or dinner (1200 kzt per person), transfers from and to train station / airport = 2 000 kzt (per person), photo and video shooting for the portfolio team, recording material on the disc, additional excursions.

Prepayment

After approval of participate in festival-contest the prepayment is held in amount of 30% of the total fee of stay at our event (till 13.04.2019). In case of cancellation refund will not be made.

Video / audio recording

All rights of video / audio recording during the festival events, as well as their use belong exclusively to the Organizer.

Changes of Festival provisions

The organizer reserves the right to change or supplement these terms of unforeseen technical, organizational or artistic reasons.

Language of correspondence

For any correspondence, as well as filling all application forms, including the artistic program, please use only Russian or English. Oral information is available in Russian.

Travel expenses.

Expenses upon arrival to the competition, accommodation / meals for participants and their accompanying persons cover the sending organization.

Applications for accommodation booking are accepted via e-mail to the Organizing Committee, in which you must specify:

a) category of chosen hotel,

b) the total number of arrivals,

c) lists with the distribution of the rooms (girls/boys , male/female, supervisors).

Attention!

Not later than 13.04.2019 participants have to send to the Organizing Committee electronically the following materials (after approval) for booklets:

- Photo of the choir (in good quality)

- Photo of the supervisor (in good quality)

- Presentation text about the choir, about conductor (text, half of a page in word),

- Copies of diplomas, confirm participation of team in choral competitions.

After getting the required materials and confirmation of participation in the choir event will be sent further information about the Festival. Kindly request you to inform the Organizing Committee of the date of arrival and departure of the team.

Booklet "Almaty Spring - 2019" is published in Russian/ English languages
